We're not limited to just these areas! Our team of talented designers, builders, and crews are always up for a new adventure and we're happy to travel outside these areas too. Our team is made up of individuals from diverse backgrounds including corporate business, aerospace, architecture, interior design, military, and of course, landscape design and construction industries. With this wealth of knowledge and expertise, we are confident in our ability to bring your landscaping dreams to life!

We offer a plethora of customizable elements to beautify your outdoor living space, creating added functionality and value. From pergolas, pavers, turf, and plants to items that are more unique such as bocce ball courts, rock slides, and wellness retreats, your designer is there to help you dream up the space that is perfectly tailored to you!

Design deposits are paid upfront to kick off the design phase and are shown as a credit/discount on your final construction total. For design-only clients who don’t need construction, our deposit simply turns into a fee, and clients will receive all the same deliverables without the coordination of HOA, permitting, and engineering.

Design fees and deposits range from $5,000 to $10,000 depending on the size of your project: $5,000 for smaller properties or projects without a pool, $7,500+ for any projects with a pool or structure, and $10,000 for larger properties and scopes. For projects involving our Principal Designer, Haley Tew, design fees are $25,000 flat. Regardless of the amount, this is still a deposit utilized as a credit toward your total construction cost!

At Lavender, we understand that our clients' time is valuable, so we tailor our timeline to fit their schedule and scope of work. Therefore, the timeline depends largely on the client’s schedule and the scope of work. We try to keep the design phase at roughly 6-10 weeks on average, during which our team collaborates with you every step of the way to bring your vision to life. This comprehensive and collaborative design experience ensures that your project is set up for success during the construction phase.

Our team of talented designers will kick off the process with a complimentary on-site meeting, where they'll get to know you and your property, discuss the scope of work, and set realistic expectations for what you’re looking to achieve vs what your budget can provide! Once you're ready to officially move into the design and pricing phase, our team will get to work taking precise site measurements, capturing project photos, and developing stunning 3D design renderings and videos that will bring your vision to life. With a focus on collaboration and attention to detail, we'll create CAD plans, sample and select materials, and present you with an itemized construction pricing proposal. But it doesn't stop there! We'll work with you for up to three design meetings to ensure that your design is edited and refined to perfection, meeting all of your needs and exceeding your expectations. Get ready to see your dream design become a reality!

Lavender's team is thrilled to welcome you to our HQ in Tempe, AZ for all of your design meetings! You will have the opportunity to review your custom 3D design, construction plans, pricing proposal, and proposed materials with your designer(s) and our Design Manager in our small but mighty showroom. With up to three design meetings, you can make as many revisions and redlines as you want until we've homed in on the design you love at the price point you’re looking to achieve.
What if I need more than three design returns to get my dream design?

Although this rarely happens, we do offer additional design meetings. Each one starts at 10% of the original design fee/deposit total, dependent on the scope of the edits needed.

We absolutely love building our own designs and it truly shows in the quality of our work. But we understand that some clients may have their own designs in mind or prefer a DIY approach. No worries, we’ve got you covered! Our client experience is designed to be flexible and accommodating to your needs, so you can build with us at your own pace or even opt-out if you wish. And, if you decide to go with us, your design fee acts as a deposit credit towards your overall construction cost - a major perk that you definitely don't want to miss out on!

Once the project is signed into construction, we immediately get to work to submit your project for permits, engineering, and to your HOA. This is not applicable to all projects as not every project calls for these items. We can give you a more accurate timeline during the design phase and upon submittal.

Construction cost depends on the market and the size of your project. We start construction at a minimum of $50,000. We have a budgeting tool here that you can utilize to get a rough idea of what your project might cost.

At Lavender, we take quality and liability seriously. That's why, while we're happy to take a look at another company's plans, we'll need to ensure that they're up to our high standards. Our team will carefully review and translate them into our cutting-edge software to make sure that we build something that meets our rigorous standards. We understand that this extra step may require a $5,000 or more design deposit, but we believe it's a small price to pay for the peace of mind and quality assurance that comes with working with Lavender.

This depends on what city you live in and what type of permit you need. Permits can take anywhere from one to five months depending on what element is being permitted. We can give you a more accurate timeline during the design phase and once you sign into construction.

Each HOA runs a little differently with how frequently they will review a homeowner’s proposed plan. We see approved HOA submittals come through around six to eight weeks.

For the design fee, we only accept checks or debit cards.

For construction, we do accept checks, debit cards, or credit cards.

For all credit card transactions, there is a 3% processing fee.

Don't worry, Lavender can provide direction! Although we do not do in-house financing, we offer various suggestions for financing to help you achieve your dream space. We understand that the approval process can take some time, which is why we encourage you to let us know as soon as possible. Whether you need a loan or want to explore other financing options, we can assist you with the process. The earlier you start, the better! By acting fast, you can avoid potential delays and start enjoying your new outdoor oasis as soon as possible.
